GREEN COMMUNICATION INTERFACE SOFTWARE/HARDWARE FOR CELLULAR TOWERS

Abstract

The growing number of cellular towers as a result of increased mobile network usage has resulted in excessive power consumption and environmental issues. This project suggests a Green Communication Interface that combines software and hardware to maximize power utilization in cellular towers. By facilitating real-time communication among neighbouring towers, the system ensures that only the required towers are active depending on user demand. It also includes energy auditing techniques, like switching off lights during the day and turning off air conditioning when weather conditions allow. This dynamic control can result in a power wastage reduction of an estimated 87%. The technique facilitates environmentally friendly communication by reducing unnecessary energy consumption and minimizing carbon footprint. It also enhances cost-effective operation and reduces exposure to electromagnetic radiation. Our solution offers an eco-friendly solution compared to the traditional tower management. It allows for smarter, greener, and more effective mobile communication networks.
