SUGGESTIVE AUTOMATED MENTAL HEALTH IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM

Abstract

Mental illnesses like depression, anxiety, and stress are on the rise in the current fast-paced and digitally networked society. But owing to issues such as social stigma, ignorance, and paucity of professional care, they remain undiagnosed and untreated for many. The Suggestive Automated Mental Health Identification System proposes to counter these shortcomings by taking advantage of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and natural language processing (NLP) algorithms to detect early indications of mental illness through user interaction and behavioural patterns. The system examines user-provided data—text inputs, Chabot interaction, and survey answers—to evaluate emotional states and identify possible symptoms of mental distress. Based on its findings, the system offers personalized recommendations, resources, and invites users to consult professionals if necessary. The tool is a non-invasive, privacy-aware, and accessible solution for early mental health screening and awareness.
